My baby boy is growing up and is not a baby so much anymore. We are SO close to walking and he is furniture cruising everywhere. With two kids, I know it will be important to have activities that interest both of them but are also safe and easy for the baby, almost toddler. I’m so excited about my friend Angela’s new book, The Toddler Journey, which will help me to come up with these easy and fun hands-on activities for toddlers.

The Toddler Journey gives you some developmental milestone information at the beginning so that you know what skills and activities to expect from your toddlers. All of the activities in the rest of the book help to grow and develop these skills.

The book is divided into 5 sections:

  • Sensory Play
  • Gross Motor
  • Fine Motor
  • Art Activities
  • Mess-Free Activities

Things are also broken down by ages of 12-18 months, 18-24 months, and 24-36 months old. The top of each page lets you know which age the activities are appropriate for.

What I love the most about The Toddler Journey is how easy the activities are to set up, and most of them include items that you probably already have in your home. We decided to give this slippery noodles sensory bin a try. It is also great for fine motor skills using the tongs too!

What I loved about this activity and all the others in The Toddler Journey, is that I can set the activities up for my almost 12-month-old and my 3-year-old and they can use them together. My 3-year-old daughter loved this and it was awesome to find something that they both engaged with and had fun with.

All the activities are super easy to set up, just like the one above. We buy bulk spaghetti from Costco, so we always have some on hand. I decided to make some real quick yesterday morning, and we shared about it over on my Facebook page with Facebook Live.
