Kids of all ages love to engage in some sensory play. I found 28 fun, fine motor, and sensory play ideas to help your kids enjoy St. Patrick’s Day!

Table of contents
- St. Patrick’s Day Activities for Kids – Fine Motor
- St. Patrick’s Day Activities for Kids – Sensory
I’ve divided these activities into fine motor and sensory play activities. However, you will probably find that many of these activities overlap and can be used to focus on both skills.
Why are fine motor skills important?
I also have a blog post on the importance of sensory play for kids.

2. St. Patrick’s Day Sensory Bin from Growing Hands-On Kids
I created this sensory bin for my daughter when she was a toddler. It’s filled with fabrics and larger items that make it a little bit safer for children who still put things in their mouths. Of course, supervision is still a must.

This sensory bin has more of a messy play base instead of the fabric like the one above. A great one for preschoolers!
