This week we are on to the letter G for our letter of the week tot-school activities. We have actually made this goop recipe before as a sparkly winter oobleck recipe. I decided to make it into a valentine theme and call it goop for our letter G this week.

Two Ingredient Goop Recipe

  • 1/2 cup corn starch (you may need more to get the right consistency)
  • Up to 1/4 cup water

To make the goop or oobleck, you are not going to want to add all the water in at once. Just add 1-2 tablespoons at time until you get the right consistency. It will become hard when you put a spoon in it and touch it and then begin to melt off the spoon or your hands.

To make the valentine theme goop, I added 2-4 drops of red food coloring to the water and mixed it before adding it in to the corn starch. We also added some red glitter and Joy essential oil for scent.

We leave ours out over night and just add a little more water to it to make it melt again. Ellie will play with this for literally hours at a time. It has definitely become one of our favorite sensory play recipes and it is so easy to make and add into themes.

If you want to check out the consistency, you can watch this scope we did over on our #GrowingKidsScopes on Periscope.
